Bastián Gatica
Bastián Gatica, known artistically as Kjander, is an experimental musician from Chile. Influenced by ambient, noise, and classical music, he often constructs his tracks through improvisation and intuitive exploration. His debut album, Phantasmata, released in March 2025, is a fully digital work created without acoustic instruments, using live coding techniques. The album’s title references the ancient concept of phantasmata, phantom entities once believed to cause mental disturbances. 'Kjander' channels this idea by crafting each track as a “sonic ghost,” evoking inner states and imagined presences. He's interested in contributing to a variety of audiovisual projects —particularly short films, video games, and experimental cinema— where he can help translate physical sensations into sound through music.
